The non-bride bride is my ideal bride. Not a diamante, meringue dress or tiara in site. Thank fully times are changing and brides no longer want to feel like a trussed up toilet roll holder and are looking for something much cooler, relaxed and more reasonably priced. The high street and designers have some beautiful options which I have weaseled out for you...
Currently available on the Outnet at a very reasonable £417 this Temperley London dress has a 70's Ossie Clarke vibe going on. My very stylish friend Polly actually found this dress on Vestaire Collective for her Wedding at Islington Town Hall last year and looked incredible and the ultimate Non-Bride Bride.
Asos have really upped their game on the Wedding front recently and their most recent Asos Bridal range has some really affordable and cool dresses. I also love Asos for bridesmaids dresses too and I got one of my bridesmaids dresses from here.
No longer just the wedding guest fail-self attire, Mr Self Portrait continues to out do himself with some gorgeous and very reasonable wedding worthy gowns. I have felt that the recent wedding's I have been to have been saturated with guests wearing Self Portrait dresses, but hopefully you will be the only one wearing a long white gown at your own Wedding!
I am obsessed by everything created by Alessandra Rich and dream of one day owning one of her dresses. I also secretly like the idea of wearing a black wedding dress, slightly Morticia Addams and if it's good enough for SJP...
Jump into a suit.
I love the idea of a bride wearing a jumpsuit or suit instead of a traditional dress, it all feels very Bianca Jagger and is perfect if your Wedding is in a registry office or is a bit more low key, alternatively perfect as your going away outfit.
